• In August we held a Depositor's Delight Luncheon at Horizon House and explored priority access to apartment selection, explained tailored upgrade options for your new home, and shared how to secure your new residence with our expert guidance.
• Horizon House was the host for a King County media event on July 23, where King County Executive, Dow Constantine, and Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell announced a $50 million grant award from the EPA for local decarbonization intiatives. Horizon House was invited to host because of its efforts toward sustainability. CEO Erica Thrash-Sall spoke about how the new West Tower will be an opportunity to include infrastructure that will reduce use of carbon steam throughout our campus by 95%.
• June 27 brought Reservation Depositors together to meet and mingle with their future neighbors at a special Winemaker's Dinner at the Horizon House 19th floor Sky Lounge.
• On May 15 at the Mayflower Park Hotel, Horizon House presented "What is a Continuing Care Community?" featuring speaker Lauri Warfield-Larson, Horzion House COO, and long time senior living expert. This introduction to the elements of CCRC in general, along with an in-depth explanation of all the continuing care services at Horizon House, had guests avidly taking notes as they learned about options throughout the retirement years.
• In March, we once again presented to a full house for a Lunch and Learn event at the Washington Athletic Club. Guests heard all about the West Tower expansion and details around our Priority Depositor Program. The enthusiastic group asked great questions which we were only to happy to answer!
• On February 7 and 8, West Tower architects from Mithun held two special presentations at the Washington Athletic club for current and future Priority Depositors. We were thrilled that 140 guests attended to learn how the West Tower is being designed for environmental sustainability. Mithun and Horizon House presenters were impressed by the deep interest shown by attendees, and the relevance and detail of questions asked. Clearly, they care as much about sustainable design as our existing Horizon House community!
