Lecture: Rainier Valley History

Historian Mikala Woodword speaks on the history of the big valley stretching from Jackson Street south to Seattle's city limits. The Rainier Valley Historical Society has described the Valley as "a contender for the most ethnically diverse region in the country." Mikala discusses the immigrants and displaced Seattle residents who have formed communities in the Valley, beginning in the early 20th century and into the present. Mikala is the Curator of Exhibits and Engagement for MOHAI.
