- $340 monthly dining credit for our restaurant-style dining venues

- Robust calendar of resident-led social and educational programs
- 5,000-volume library, woodshop, art studio, sewing room, potting room, wrap room, and flower room
- Transportation options: you’ll receive Uber and Lyft compensation each month, and our dedicated car share program provides additional on-demand options.

Horizon House is a Life Plan Community (also known as a CCRC—Continuing Care Retirement Community), a unique model designed to support you throughout your retirement years. Unlike traditional independent living communities, a Life Plan Community provides a continuum of services under one roof, including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Support.
This model offers significant financial and lifestyle benefits. As a resident, you gain priority access to higher levels of care if your needs change, without the stress of relocating to an unfamiliar place or joining a waiting list. You’ll remain in the community you’ve called home, surrounded by familiar faces and the culture you’ve helped create.

What is a Reservation Deposit and how does it work?
A Reservation Deposit secures your future residence at Horizon House. For the West Tower, which opens in 2029, depositors receive priority selection of floor plans and residences. Your deposit is refundable under the terms of your agreement and will be applied toward your entrance fee when you move in.
What fees should I expect to pay?
There is an entrance fee along with a monthly fee, the cost of both varies depending on the residence type and your financial preferences. Our team can walk you through the details of each option and help determine which model best fits your situation.
How do monthly fees change over time?
Monthly fees fund the community’s operating budget. When these fees change, it is due to rising cost of services and operations. As a nonprofit, any adjustments are made transparently and with resident input through our governance structure. Historical increases have been modest and predictable.
How does the financial evaluation process work?
We perform a comprehensive evaluation of each prospective resident’s financial situation to understand what works best for you. Does Horizon House offer a waitlist?
Yes. Horizon House offers a wait list called the Future Resident List. This program is designed for individuals who are interested in living at Horizon House but aren’t ready to move yet. By joining with a small deposit, prospective residents can begin building priority access based on their anticipated timing and preferred apartment home style. It’s a simple way to plan ahead and improve your chances of securing the residence you want when you’re ready to make the move.
