Seattle Senior Community is Alive with Arts and Culture
We are a senior community in Seattle with easy access to museums, galleries, symphony, and theater.
Horizon House surrounds you with art and culture that moves emotions and stimulates the mind. Stroll through our in-house art collection boasting more than 800 works in inventory. Our gallery includes pieces by artists Jacob Lawrence, Dale Chihuly, Mark Tobey, and indigenous artists like Preston Singletary. You can also step out and enjoy easy access to museums and performances nearby.
Arts & Culture: Explore, Think, Enjoy
Whatever inspires your passion and celebration of the arts you can find it here. Our community is filled with like-minded aficionados who appreciate your interest and share your taste.
Horizon House offers a culture that embraces creativity. Join the Art Committee and curate selections for placement, organize outings to galleries and studios, or help with the yearly resident and staff art show. The Flower Committee and Holiday Decorations Committee add to the beauty of our shared spaces. Your skills and ideas are welcome additions.

The Sound of Music is Here
Love music? There’s a committee for that. You might attend the Sunday Musicale’s classical offerings. Wednesday Night Live hosts professional performances of everything from Django to Debussy. Opera lectures plan expert-led talks in advance of upcoming Seattle Opera performances.
Let Us Entertain You!
Entertain your fellow residents and make a joyful noise as a member of the
String Alongs ukulele band or the OK Chorale. Residents and staff musicians even gather informally to make music together.

It’s Game On
Whether it’s pool, ping pong, or poker, you’ll find it here. We’ve got games galore be it mah jong, bridge, or our inventory of 400 wooden jigsaw puzzles. And if you’re a cinephile, enjoy resident-curated movies and film festivals—complete with popcorn!
