The Importance of Inner Wellbeing
Over the last few decades, the importance of inner wellbeing has been identified as a key element of fulfillment throughout our lives. At Horizon House, we meet our residents spiritual and emotional needs by providing meaningful support and learning opportunities.

Inner Wellbeing at Horizon House
We respect members of all faiths and non-faiths, religious backgrounds, and spiritual beliefs. Horizon House is affiliated with the United Church of Christ (UCC) but is not part of any religious community. Inner Wellbeing & Spirituality Staff plan and schedule onsite worship services and celebrations for various faith traditions, and also conduct resident memorial services.

Let’s Talk About It
Our Inner Wellbeing & Spirituality staff are available to meet with you one-on-one to provide emotional and spiritual support. They also host weekly gatherings as a safe, open environment to discuss topics such as:
- Care Partners: for those caring for someone with chronic illness
- Transitions: dealing with loss and change
- Being Human: life fulfillment and experience
- Wisdom Poetry: discussion of poetry touching life’s deeper issues
- Men’s Group: a place for men to gather and discuss topics relevant to them
The Men’s Group at Horizon House provides an environment of confidentiality where it’s safe to engage in deep discussions.
