Partners in Caring Annual Fund Kicked Off in April: 2014 Goal of $345,000

UPDATE: We are making significant progress with Partners in Caring, Horizon House’s annual fundraising effort. To date, we have raised $245,000 towards our goal of $345,000. A gift made now has the potential to make an even greater impact at Horizon House! Gifts made now through July 9th (the date of our beloved Ice Cream Social Celebration) have the potential to be matched dollar for dollar (up to $10,000) thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor. Every gift makes an impact.

Partners in Caring is a house-wide and community-wide effort to support Horizon House through three important funds.  Central to this annual effort and at the heart of our mission is the Residents Assistance Fund. This fund was developed to assist residents at Horizon House who, through no fault of their own, have outlived their assets. It ensures that our financially vulnerable residents will never have to leave their homes due to lack of financial resources, giving them emotional security and peace of mind.

Partners in Caring also sustains the Quality of Resident Life Fund and the Employee Education Fund. The Quality of Resident Life Fund supports the areas of greatest need at Horizon House, including the popular GEM grants that enhance our community and fulfill resident requests and needs. The Employee Education Fund offers financial assistance to staff for education and training opportunities outside the scope of on-the-job training.

Partners in Caring is truly a community-wide effort that each year is rewarded with an outpouring of support from compassionate residents, businesses, friends, families, and employees. Every gift, regardless of size, makes an impact on our community.
