Master Plan Update – March 2019

It’s been a busy month at Horizon House in terms of Master Planning. Check out some updates and photos below!

Our Master Plan is broken into three sections: (1) Items we need to do for the stewardship of our buildings, (2) Items we should do because they support the resident-driven and employee-centric culture, and (3) Items we could do to offset expense and contribute to revenue.

Right now, we’re working on the first section:

  • Cerium has done a complete review of our WiFi connectivity. The Board decided that the new system will be installed in 2019.
  • The Central Tower Roof Replacement is underway and will likely be completed by Fall 2019. The East Tower roof will be replaced this year as well.
  • The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning unit is being replaced for the Sky Lounge.
  • The study of the Central Tower continues. This study will enable us to best understand the useful life of the current heating system, among other things.

Through this Master Plan, we want to advance and retain our unique mission of serving people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. To do this, we continue to invest in our buildings, and be good stewards of resources.

Below are photos of the Roof Replacement happening now! Click the photos below to make them bigger.
