Horizon House Welcomes Back Speaker David Kaynor

Horizon House is delighted to welcome back David Kaynor of Kaynor Community Education as our first Assisted Living guest speaker since the beginning of the pandemic. Kaynor’s motto is, “Helping people understand the world around them.”

Last week, Kaynor gave a lecture on Volcanos of Washington, which included topics such as what volcanism is and different types of volcanic rocks. Subject matter ranges from travel and leisure programs, such as “Ten Great Gardens of Washington State” to science programs like “Introduction to Astronomy”.  Some of Kaynor’s more popular courses cover the birds of Washington and regional geology.

Kaynor will be on-site at Horizon House every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 1:45 pm to give lectures on a variety of topics to our Assisted Living residents. He is a teacher at Whatcom Community College and South Puget Sound College.

We are so happy to welcome back the rest of our regular speakers in the coming months!
