Fast Four: John Roberts

Each month, we ask a new staff member to tell us four random facts about themselves. It’s a quick and easy way to get to know a bit more about what’s beyond the face. This month, we feature Renovations Assistant Project Manager John Roberts.

1. When did you first come to Horizon House?
I started in the garage at the beginning of 2015, then moved into the renovations office mid-2018.

2. Where do you live?
I live with my wife (Kelly, pictured left) in Broadview (North Seattle), but am originally from East Kentucky.

3. What do you like to do when you are “outside of The House”?
I’m a community gardener, amateur astronomer (weather permitting), homebrewer (only beer), and I tinker around with old computers. But like everyone else, I’m into hiking, travel, and great food as well.

4. What is something interesting about yourself that no one at Horizon House may know?
After doing some related research at the University of Louisville, I got to do some data analysis for a big project conducted by NARAL Pro-Choice WA while I was working half-shifts in the garage.
